History

Biodevelop started its activities as Laboratory of Bioequivalence in July 2002 at CAECE University, an institution with a large academic expertise in Natural and Exact Sciences. It moved in September 2005 to the School of Medicine “Fundación H.A.Barceló”, with the objective to stay in a scientific-academic environment focused on medicine sciences, stimulating academic participation and training fellows of the University.

Biodevelop was conceived in absolute compliance with the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). In the beginning, it was dedicated exclusively to protocol design and medical writing, Bioequivalence studies and the development of highly sensitive, selective and reproducible chromatographic methods. The exclusive dedication to these activities allowed us to efficiently optimize our efforts and resources, offering to the client high quality results..

Since 2004, Biodevelop began working on the Biotechnology Project, taking advantage of its  staff’s large expertise in basic science research in the molecular biology area and its previous career in biotech-related companies.  In these last months, Biodevelop purchased state- of-the-art biotechnology equipment to perform recombinant protein quality control and the structure to produce its own prime matters, having academic-technologic agreements with several institutions and companies.

Given the proficiency in the infectology area, mainly in HIV, and by means of a very good contact and relationship with the medical community in Argentina, Biodevelop has the opportunity to offer Antiretroviral Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Up to date, we have received and analyzed with satisfactory results, many samples obtained from HIV+ patients undergoing HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) from several clinical centers conducted by opinion leaders with a large career in AIDS treatment.
